History

Formed in 1887 from Crockett County and Menard County

An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.

Schleicher County was created from Crockett County on April 1, 1887, but was not fully organized at that time and was attached to Menard County for judicial and surveying purposes. The county became fully organized and was detached from Menard County in July 1901.
