History
Formed in 1858 from Ne County
An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.
Created in 1858, Concho County was not fully organized at first, so it was attached to San Saba County for judicial purposes in 1860. In 1876, the county was detached from San Saba and attached to McCulloch County for judicial purposes, then fully organized and detached from McCulloch in 1879.
