History
Formed in 1876 from Jack County
An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.
Hutchinson County was created from Bexar Territory on 19 November 1876 and initially attached to Jack County for judicial and surveying purposes. Over the following decades, it was successively attached to Wheeler County in 1879, Carson County in 1889, and Roberts County in 1891 for judicial purposes, until it was fully organized and detached from Roberts County in 1901.
