History

Formed in 1876 from Jack County

An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.

Randall County was created on November 19, 1876, from Young Territory and initially attached to Jack County for all purposes. The county was then successively attached to other counties for judicial purposes: Wheeler in 1879, Oldham in 1881, Donley in 1883, back to Oldham in 1885, and Potter in 1889. Randall County was fully organized and detached from Potter County in July 1889.

Boundary changes from the Newberry Library, Atlas of Historical County Boundaries.
