History
Formed in 1855 from Bosque County and Hill County
An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.
Parker County was created from non-county areas of Bosque and Hill counties, with part of the Denton Land District attached to it for county and general purposes, though it was not fully organized at first. It was fully organized on March 1, 1856, and later lost part of its non-county attachment in the Denton Land District to Young County on August 19, 1856.
