History
Formed in 1876 from Wegefarth County and Clay County
An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.
Hall County was created from Wegefarth (extinct) and Young Territory on November 19, 1876, but was not fully organized and was attached to Clay County for judicial and other purposes. Over the following years, Hall County was attached to Wheeler County for judicial purposes in 1879, then to Donley County in 1883, until it was finally fully organized and detached from Donley County in 1890.
