History
Formed in 1856 from Gillespie County
An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.
Llano County was created on February 1, 1856, from the Bexar Land District and Gillespie County, but was not fully organized until August 4, 1856. In 1858, Llano lost land to the creation of Mason County but gained land from Burnet County and Gillespie County.
