History
Formed in 1858 from Habersham County
An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.
White County was created from Habersham County by an act passed on December 22, 1857, taking effect on January 1, 1858. The county exchanged territory with Habersham County in December 1858 and December 1883, and with Lumpkin County in December 1862 and December 1904.
