History
Formed in 1853 from Dekalb County
An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.
Fulton County was created from Dekalb on December 20, 1853. It gained all of Campbell and Milton counties on January 1, 1932, when those counties were eliminated, and also gained territory from Cobb County. Over its history, Fulton made several small adjustments to its boundaries with neighboring counties including Dekalb, Clayton, and Campbell.
