History
Formed in 1854 from Marion County and Stewart County
An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.
Originally called Kinchafoonee when created from Marion and Stewart counties in 1854, the county was renamed Webster in 1856. Webster County has undergone multiple boundary adjustments with neighboring counties Marion, Stewart, and Terrell through the 20th century.
