History

Formed in 1821 from Caldwell County, Livingston County and Hickman County

An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.

Calloway County was created from Caldwell and Livingston counties but was initially attached to Hickman County because it was not fully organized. On January 15, 1823, Calloway County was fully organized and detached from Hickman County. In 1842, Calloway County lost territory to the creation of Marshall County.
