History

Formed in 1797 from Logan County

An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.

Christian County was created in 1797 from Logan County and named after William Christian. Between 1799 and 1820, the county lost territory to the creation of Henderson, Muhlenberg, Livingston, Caldwell, Hopkins, Todd, and Trigg counties.
