History

Formed in 1792 from Lincoln County

An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.

Logan County was created from Lincoln County on September 1, 1792. Over the following decades, the county lost territory to the creation of Christian and Warren in 1797, Muhlenberg in 1799, Butler in 1810 and 1813, Simpson in 1819 and 1869, and Todd in 1820, 1822, and 1823.
