History

Formed in 1797 from Logan County

An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.

Warren County was formed from Logan County in 1797. Between 1799 and 1828, the county underwent multiple boundary adjustments, losing land to the creation of Barren County (1799 and 1827), Allen County (1815, 1819, and 1828), Simpson County (1819), and Edmonson County (1825), while gaining territory from Allen County in 1816.
