History
Founded in 1833
An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.
Carroll County was created from Non-County Area 7, with additional territory from Non-County Area 18 attached for civil, judicial, and military purposes. On January 6, 1837, Carroll County lost part of its attached territory to the creation of Livingston County, and the remainder of that territory was detached and attached to Livingston County for civil and military purposes.
