History
Formed in 1887 from Finney County and Arapahoe County
An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.
Haskell County was created on March 23, 1887, from Finney County, with boundaries identical to the extinct Arapahoe County. Initially not fully organized and attached to Finney County for judicial purposes, Haskell became fully organized and detached on July 1, 1887. The county was named after Dudley C. Haskell.
