History

Formed in 1867 from Riley County

An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.

Graham was created on February 26, 1867, from Non-County Area 2 attached to Riley County, but was not fully organized at the time. It was attached to Ellis County for judicial purposes in 1868, then detached and attached to Rooks County in 1873 for the same reason. Graham was finally fully organized and detached from Rooks County on April 1, 1880.

Boundary changes from the Newberry Library, Atlas of Historical County Boundaries.
