History

Formed in 1827 from Wabash County and Fountain County

An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.

Warren County was created in 1827 from parts of Wabash and Fountain Counties. The county was named after Joseph Warren. Jasper County was created from Warren in 1835, and Newton County was eliminated in 1839, both affecting Warren's boundaries.
