History
Formed in 1808 from Columbiana County
An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.
Wayne County was created from Columbiana County on February 13, 1808, but was not fully organized and was initially attached to Columbiana for administrative and judicial purposes. In 1809, it was detached from Columbiana and attached to Stark County, and then in 1812 it became fully organized and independent. The county lost territory to the creation of Holmes County in 1824 and to the creation of Ashland County in 1846.

Roof outlines traced from aerial imagery from FEMA Response Geospatial Office with Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Good for seeing what is on a lot; not accurate enough to set a fence from.
