History
Formed in 1877 from Blount County, Marshall County, Morgan County and Winston County
An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.
Cullman County was created from Blount, Marshall, Morgan, and Winston counties. The county's boundaries changed several times: it lost territory to Blount in 1879, then gained from Blount in 1887, 1893, and 1901, and gained from Walker in 1953.
