History
Formed in 1819 from Arkansas County
An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.
Pulaski County was created from Arkansas by Missouri Territory on June 1, 1819, and initially included territory in present Arkansas and Oklahoma. Over the next decade, the county lost territory to the creation of Crawford, Conway, Jefferson, and Monroe counties, and gained and exchanged land with neighboring counties including parts of the Quapaw Indian Reserve.
