History

Formed in 1846 from Bradley County and Desha County

An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.

Drew County was created from Bradley and Desha counties. The county gained and lost territory several times: it gained from Chicot and Bradley in 1847, lost to the creation of Ashley County in 1849, gained from Desha in 1861, gained from Desha and lost to the creation of Lincoln County in 1871, and gained a small area from Chicot in 1876.
