History

Formed in 1873 from Prairie County and Pulaski County

An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.

Lonoke County gained from Prairie in 1875 and 1883, and exchanged with Pulaski in 1875 and 1907. In 1941, the county lost a small area along Cypress Bayou to White County.
