History
Formed in 1921 from Lafayette County
An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.
Dixie County was created from Lafayette County on April 25, 1921. In 1925, Dixie County lost a small area to Levy County when the boundary shifted from the east bank to the middle of the Suwannee River.
