History
Formed in 1856 from Iron County
An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.
Beaver County was created by the Utah Territory from Iron County and originally included parts of present Utah, Colorado, and Nevada. The county was named after the Canadian beaver. Beaver County lost territory in 1861 and 1862 as new territories and counties were formed and boundaries were adjusted.
