History

Formed in 1909 from Dewey County, Schnasse County, Boreman County and Walworth County

An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.

Corson County was created from Dewey, Schnasse, Boreman, and Walworth counties, with Boreman fully absorbed into the new county. When first created, it was attached to Walworth County for judicial purposes, but was fully organized and detached from Walworth just four months later on July 13, 1909.
