History
Formed in 1893 from Bingham County
An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.
Fremont County was created from Bingham County in 1893. The county gained territory from Lemhi County in 1896 and again from Bingham County in 1904. In 1913, Fremont lost territory with the creation of Jefferson and Madison counties, and in 1919 lost more territory with the creation of Clark County.
