History

Formed in 1879 from Yavapai County

An old deed may name a county that no longer exists, or a boundary that has since moved.

Apache County was created by Arizona Territory from Yavapai County on February 14, 1879. The county lost territory to the creation of Graham County in 1881 and Navajo County in 1895.
